  A: The replacement process for hood primary and secondary latch begins with opening the hood while removing the front section of air cleaner assembly. The hood release cable along with the secondary Hood Latch cable need removal from the Hood Latch. Turn off the bolts linking the Hood Latch to its support structure then detach the latch from its position on the support. The Hood Latch needs positioning onto the latch support before securing it through bolts while tightening them to a torque of 80 lb in (9 Nm). Secure the hood release cable together with the secondary latch cable to the latch element. Check hood alignment as you lower it while verifying the proper position before doing any adjustment. Put back the front segment of the air cleaner assembly while finishing up by closing the hood.
