How to replace the front door striker on 2009 Cadillac XLR?

In order to change the front door striker, open up the window and take out the door panel. The water deflector can be removed to access the rear of the door. Indicate the position of the striker, take off the fasteners, and replace the striker. Install the water deflector and door panel again, and make sure that the door latch is working.
