Drain the rear Differential fluid. Take away the exhaust system and remove the spare tire yet keep the propeller shaft in position by securing it with mechanics wire instead of complete extraction. After draining the rear Differential you should start by taking off the propeller shaft and right rear wheel drive shaft. Then place a transmission jack stand under the rear Differential for support. Below the Differential, remove first the left Differential mount together with the right Differential support bushing nut and right rear Differential support bushing bolt before dropping the Differential. A technician should replace the axle shaft seal with the j 8092 (Driver Handle) and j 33832 (Rear Bearing Installer). To install the new axle shaft seal connect the j 8092 to the j 33832 and apply this assembly to install the seal. The Differential needs to be positioned within the rear cradle before screwing in the left rear support bolt and right Differential support bushing nut. Install the left Differential mount before taking away the transmission jack stand and reattach the right rear wheel drive shaft. Complete the installation by putting on the propeller shaft then the exhaust system and removing the spare tire before filling the rear Differential with fluid.
