How to replace the Dipstick Tube and oil level indicator on 2009 Chevrolet HHR?

The process for replacing the oil level indicator and tube starts by disconnecting the charge air cooler (CAC) outlet pipe. Start by detaching two wire harness clips that are attached to the oil level indicator tube bracket followed by removing the vacuum hose from the oil level indicator tube. Begin by removing the oil level indicator tube bolt which enables access to extract the tube with its associated indicator. Apply lubricant to the oil level indicator tube O-ring seal before installing the tube to the engine block while following the fastener precautions. Tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in) and reestablish the connection of the vacuum hose into the oil level indicator tube. Reinstall the CAC outlet pipe while connecting the two wire harness clips to the bracket of the oil level indicator tube.
