    Q:
How to replace the Dipstick Tube on Chevrolet Cobalt? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the oil level indicator tube needs removal of the charge air cooler (CAC) outlet pipe. Two wire harness clips should be detached from the oil level indicator tube bracket before disconnecting the vacuum hose situated on the oil level indicator tube. Follow this step by removing the oil level indicator tube bolt and taking away both the oil level indicator tube and indicator. Before installing the oil level indicator tube to the engine block apply lubricant on its O-ring seal. Installation should be performed while following all fastener caution protocols. Follow up with tightening the oil level indicator tube bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in) before connecting the vacuum hose to the tube. The last step involves reattaching the wire harness clips to the bracket of the oil level indicator tube before installing the CAC outlet pipe.

    Q:
How to replace the Dipstick Tube on Chevrolet HHR? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for replacing the oil level indicator with its tube involves removing the air cleaner assembly. You must disconnect the oil level indicator and engine harness clip which is attached to the oil level indicator tube bracket. You need to unclip the air conditioning (A/C) compressor and condenser hose clip on that bracket sequentially with the removal of the oil level indicator tube bolt and finally the oil level indicator tube . The removal of o-ring seals from the oil level indicator tube should be performed if needed. The procedure for installation includes using new o-ring seals for the oil level indicator tube before placing the tube into position using the oil level indicator tube bolt which needs to be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Next, reinstall the air cleaner assembly while following the same order of reattachment which begins with the A/C Compressor and condenser hose clip and engine harness clip to the oil level indicator tube bracket and ends with the oil level indicator.

    Q:
How to replace the Dipstick Tube on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the oil level indicator and tube is to uninstall the air cleaner outlet duct. First, remove the oil level indicator after which you need to raise the vehicle for work access. Remove the hook of the engine wiring harness clip from the oil level indicator tube bracket while removing the knock sensor electrical connector lead from the same bracket. Lower the vehicle before removing two bolts that secure the oil level indicator tube and tube itself. The tube requires new O-ring seals that need installation if required. Position the oil level indicator tube before installation and fasten it with the bolt while keeping a torque setting of 10 N.m (89 lb in). The vehicle should be raised while technicians reconnect the knock sensor electrical connector lead to the oil level indicator tube bracket. At the same time they need to install the engine wiring harness clip to the same bracket. First step after repair is to insert the oil level indicator and then place the air cleaner outlet duct on the system.
