Fitting the console shift control requires you to insert it into the vehicle space before applying 24 nm (18 lb ft) of torque to the retaining nuts. You should install the automatic transaxle range selector cable first and then the console shift control wiring harness followed by connecting the console wiring harness and finally, attach the console trim plate.
