How to replace the engine mount on 2009 Chevrolet Malibu?

The first step to replace the Engine Mount should include removal of the air cleaner assembly. The engine requires support from a hydraulic floor jack but the jack should bear pressure through a wooden piece against the Oil Pan. First detach the Engine Mount to bracket bolts and the Engine Mount to side rail bolts before pulling out the Engine Mount from the engine compartment. First attach the Engine Mount to the side rail studs while maintaining alignment of the holes by hand starting the Engine Mount to bracket bolts instead of using prying force. Anchor the Engine Mount to side rail bolts before tightening them to 50 nm (37 lb ft) while maintaining the same torque level when adding the Engine Mount to bracket bolts . Finish the procedure by eliminating the hydraulic floor jack from under the Oil Pan and placing back the air cleaner assembly.
