How to replace the rear Motor and Transmission Mount on 2009 Chevrolet Malibu?

First, raise the vehicle using proper support before starting the transmission rear mount replacement task. Use a suitable jack stand to stabilize the powertrain's rear portion while removing the left wheel combined with tire. First drain bolt until the transmission mount to bracket no longer engages the transaxle. Afterwards remove the transmission mount to bracket through bolt and the transaxle brace bolts . Remove both the transaxle brace with bolt inside and the transmission mount to transmission bolts . First detach the wiring harness retainer then uninstall the transmission mount from the vehicle. Start the installation process by installing the transmission mount first. Screw the transmission mount to transmission bolts in place and torque these to 90 Nm (66 lb ft). First secure bolt inside the brace of the transaxle brace before installing both the transaxle brace bolt and brace bolt. Torque the transaxle brace bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft) followed by tightening the brace bolt to 100 Nm (74 lb ft). Installation of the transmission mount to bracket through bolt requires a 90 Nm (66 lb ft) torque setting before removing the jack stand to install the left tire and wheel for vehicle lowering.
