  A: Before replacing the Rack And Pinion (EPS), start by making sure the wheels of the vehicle are straight ahead and vehicle secured the Steering Wheel by using a Steering Column anti-rotation pin, steering column lock or strap b. This is to protect the sir system from damage. Assure Steering Column, intermediate shaft(s), and the Rack And Pinion are disconnected, not rotating the Steering Wheel nor turning the front tires or one may un-center the sir coil assembly. If the sir coil seems un-centered, then the centering steps for the sir coil should be followed. Start by bringing the front wheels straight forward, securing the Steering Wheel.
