How to replace the left catalytic converter on a 6.0L engine on 2009 GMC Savana 2500?

A properly fitted vehicle forms the starting point for left Catalytic Converter replacement on 6.0l engines. Disconnect the oxygen sensors before you remove the exhaust hanger bolts together with the hanger. Use pliers to unscrew the retaining nuts from the Exhaust Pipe connection to both the Catalytic Converter pipe and the Muffler before extracting the Exhaust Pipe and its flange gasket. To install the new Exhaust Pipe remove old oxygen sensors and insert them into the new pipe while tightening them to 42 nm (31 lb.ft.). When replacing exhaust components place new gaskets onto both Muffler flange and Catalytic Converter pipe flange before installing the Exhaust Pipe. Fix the Catalytic Converter pipe to the Exhaust Pipe through nut installation at 48 nm (35 lb ft) torque followed by Muffler fixation to Exhaust Pipe at the same torque. Complete the connection of Oxygen Sensor connectors and place the exhaust hanger and bolts through installation while tightening them to 17 nm (13 lb ft). Verify the exhaust system by checking for proper component alignment as well as clearance before completing the vehicle's lower-down process.
