How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 2 Sensor 1 on 2009 GMC Sierra 1500?

The first step before replacing the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) for Bank 2 Sensor 1 requires removal of the right wheelhouse liner. Detach the HO2S electrical connector from the engine wiring harness after first removing the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer. Steal the HO2S clip from the engine wiring harness before extracting the HO2S. Reinstall the old sensor by applying anti-seize compound GM P/N 12377953 or its comparable alternative to the threads. Screw in the HO2S while tightening its bolt to 42 Nm (31 lb ft). The engine wiring harness must receive the HO2S electrical connector before the CPA retainer gets installed for the HO2S clip to be placed onto the engine wiring harness. The right wheelhouse liner needs to be reinstalled as the last step.
