Start by opening the battery fuse block cover before removing the battery positive nut from the block. This action breaks the battery retainers loose on the battery tray. The technician first removes the negative terminal and nut attached to the left front frame rail before proceeding to remove the battery negative nut and terminal followed by the nut underneath the protective boot behind the generator. Remove the positive cable terminal of the battery from the generator before unfastening the starter shield bolt and shield. First detach the starter solenoid nut as well as battery positive cable terminal from the starter solenoid before removing the negative Battery Cable bolt united with terminal from the back of left cylinder head. Remove the battery positive and negative cable retainer clip nut while unclasping the battery positive cable from the transmission before having a look at cable routes within the engine compartment. The first Battery Cable harness retainer needs installation to the battery tray followed by connecting the harness to the engine block using the retainer. The negative Battery Cable terminal installation begins by attaching its bolt to the left rear cylinder head where torque reaches 25 nm (18 lb ft). The battery fuse block cover requires closing before you install the battery negative cable.
