How to replace the oil pan on 2010 Buick LaCrosse?

To replace the Oil Pan, first, elevate and support the vehicle. Remove the engine oil and the Oil Filter. Then take out the Catalytic Converter, and then the A/C Compressor bolts, which must be repositioned. Next, take off the front cover, the Oil Pan to transmission bolts and the Oil Pan bolts to remove the Oil Pan. Clean the Oil Pan and the engine block gasket surface. For installation, fit the 8 mm (0.315 in) guides from the (EN-46109) set in the center Oil Pan rail bolt hole on each side of the engine block; then apply a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of rtv sealant on block pan rail and the crankshaft rear oil seal housing place the Oil Pan on the block and remove the guides. Install the Oil Pan bolts loosely ensuring to tighten them in sequence: the 8 mm bolts (1-11) to 23 nm (17 lb ft) and the 6 mm bolts (12, 13) to 10 nm (89 lb in). Install the engine front cover, the air conditioning (A/C) compressor, and the Catalytic Converter. Lastly, lower the vehicle and replenish the engine oil.
