    Q:
How to Service and Repair the Oil Pan on Buick Enclave? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Oil Pan, drain off the engine oil first and then remove the Oil Filter. Secondly, take out the exhaust flexible pipe and the engine, and then the engine front cover. Then, unscrew the Oil Pan bolts and pry off the rtv sealant with the pry points along the edge Oil Pan before lifting off the Oil Pan from the block. Clean Oil Pan and the surface of the engine block gasket. For installation, the 8 mm (0.315 in) guides from the (EN 46109), insert them into the center Oil Pan rail bolt hole on each side of the engine block; after that, run a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of rtv sealant, gm p/n 12378521 (Canadian P/N 88901148), or equivalent on the block pan rail and the crankshaft rear oil seal housing. Place the Oil Pan on the block and take out the (EN 46109) guides. Tightly loosen the Oil Pan bolts, making sure to tighten them in an order specified: 8 mm bolts (1-11) and torque to 23 nm (17 lb ft) and 6 mm bolts (12, 13) and torque to 10 nm (89 lb in). Lastly, the engine front cover, engine, and exhaust flexible pipe need to be reinstalled and the engine oil needs to be refilled.

    Q:
How to replace the oil pan on Buick Enclave? Posted by Customer
    A:
The starting point to replace the Oil Pan requires the battery negative cable's removal. Lift your vehicle into position before supporting it. Start by draining engine oil followed by removing the Oil Filter and the exhaust flexible pipe alongside the air conditioning compressor. Begin by removing Oil Pan bolts followed by Oil Pan removal. Be sure to clean the engine block surface of the removed gasket. For installation use the en 46109 guide pin set (EN 46109) to place 8 mm guides into the center Oil Pan rail bolt hole found on each side of the engine block. Use 3 mm rtv sealant, gm p/n 12378521 (Canadian P/N 88901148) or equivalent to coat the block pan rail and crankshaft rear oil seal housing while you mount the Oil Pan onto the block before removing the guides. Begin Oil Pan bolt installation by loosely hand-tightening the bolts followed by a torque procedure where 8 mm bolts (1-11) receive 23 n.m (17 lb ft) then the 6 mm bolts (12, 13) attain 10 n.m (89 lb in). Apply these torques in a predefined sequence. After reattaching the A/C Compressor along with the exhaust flexible pipe you should lower the vehicle and refill engine oil before reinstalling the battery negative cable. Use the j 39505 torque wrench adapter (J 39505) as required whenever tightening tasks occur.

    Q:
How to replace the oil pan on Chevrolet Equinox? Posted by Customer
    A:
The starting point for Oil Pan replacement begins with disconnecting the battery negative cable. Fasten the engine support fixture while you position the vehicle into a raised position. Start by removing three components: the air conditioning compressor and bolts from both the engine-to-transaxle brace and engine-to-transaxle brace. Next, remove the Starter. Owners of vehicles with all-wheel-drive (AWD) must first take off their Transfer Case but front-wheel-drive (FWD) vehicles can skip this step. The intermediate shaft must come off during a front wheel drive (FWD) installation. Pull out the engine oil then remove the Oil Filter from its position. First lower the vehicle to remove engine mount retaining nuts followed by engine support fixture elevation to lift the engine 2 inches. Before removing the Oil Pan wipe down both the Oil Pan surface and the engine block gasket area. Next, remove the bolts along the pan's sides and sealing surface bolts before taking off the Oil Pan. Narrow down the application of sealer to encompass the crankshaft rear main bearing cap on both sides and to the joint between engine front cover and engine block. Install the Oil Pan Gasket and position the Oil Pan afterward. Apply torque of 25 nm (18 lb ft) to the Oil Pan flange bolt set while using j 39505. After that, torque the Oil Pan side bolts to 50 nm (37 lb ft). Install a new Oil Filter. The intermediate shaft installation follows when your vehicle has fwd. Before continuing with awd installation you must install the Transfer Case. Screw Starter and engine-to-transaxle brace back into place using 50 nm (37 lb ft) torque force. Place the new A/C Compressor then follow steps to lower the vehicle below the engine using the engine support fixture. First tighten the engine mount retaining nuts then take off the engine support fixture and reattach the negative Battery Cable before pumping new engine oil into the motor.

    Q:
How to replace the oil pan on Chevrolet Traverse? Posted by Customer
    A:
Engine oil must drain completely before removing the Oil Filter to proceed with Oil Pan replacement. The first step requires removing the exhaust flexible pipe along with the engine and subsequently removing the engine front cover. Begin by unstucking the rtv sealant along the edge of the Oil Pan using pry points. Then remove the bolts holding the Oil Pan in place before you can pull the pan away from the block. The Oil Pan requires cleaning in addition to cleaning the engine block gasket surface. Before pan installation use the 8 mm (0.315 in) guides found in (EN 46109) to insert them into the engine block's center Oil Pan rail bolt hole on each side. The installation requires applying a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of rtv sealant gm p/n 12378521 (Canadian P/N 88901148) or equivalent between the block pan rail and crankshaft rear oil seal housing. Spot the Oil Pan onto the block while removing the (EN 46109) guides. Knock the Oil Pan bolts loosely into place before applying proper torque to them using this precise sequence: tighten 8 mm bolts (1-11) to 23 nm (17 lb ft) while tightening 6 mm bolts (12, 13) to 10 nm (89 lb in). 8 mm bolts (1-11) to 23 nm (17 lb ft) and 6 mm bolts (12, 13) to 10 nm (89 lb in). Reinstall the front engine cover followed by the engine block before installing the flexible part of the exhaust system and completing engine oil refilling.

How to replace the oil pan on GMC Acadia? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by disconnecting the negative cable of the battery before raising and supporting the vehicle. First remove engine oil drain as well as the Oil Filter before disconnecting the exhaust flexible pipe and the air conditioning (A/C) compressor. The first step requires you to remove Oil Pan bolts before taking out the Oil Pan while preparing both the Oil Pan and engine block gasket surface for cleaning. Install the 8 mm guides using the en 46109 guide pin set (EN 46109) through the center Oil Pan rail bolt holes situated in each engine block side. Use gm p/n 12378521 (Canadian P/N 88901148) or equivalent rtv sealant to create a 3 mm bead on the block pan rail along with the crankshaft rear oil seal housing, after which you should put the Oil Pan onto the block and take out your screw guides. Install the Oil Pan bolts loosely before tightening them accordance with the designated sequence that includes 8 mm bolts (1-11) at 23 n.m (17 lb ft) and 6 mm bolts (12, 13) at 10 n.m (89 lb in). Fasten the 8 mm bolts (1-11) to 23 n.m (17 lb ft) and fasten the 6 mm bolts (12, 13) to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Lower the vehicle and reconnect the battery negative cable before refilling engine oil. After that reinstall the A/C Compressor together with exhaust flexible pipe. Use the j 39505 torque wrench adapter (J 39505) whenever required to complete the tightening operations.
