The left side Exhaust Manifold replacement (LZ9 or LGD) (3.9L) requires the initial step to detach the air cleaner outlet duct followed by heat shield bolt removal from the exhaust crossover pipe and subsequent heat shield extraction. The procedure starts with bolt removal of the Exhaust Manifold heat shield before proceeding to take out the exhaust crosspipe connector nuts from the left Exhaust Manifold. Finally, extract all Exhaust Manifold bolts. The Exhaust Manifold requires removal together with the Exhaust Manifold Gasket disposal. To install the system start by setting a new Exhaust Manifold Gasket on the cylinder head studs before placing the Exhaust Manifold correctly. Firmly secure the Exhaust Manifold bolts at 20 nm (15 lb ft) and both exhaust crossover pipe to left Exhaust Manifold nut connections with matching torques disable.
