Before taking out the Shock Absorber you must first raise the vehicle then remove its lower Shock Absorber-to-axle bolt. Tighten the attachment bolts after the axle assembly reaches the proper height. You should feed the lower Shock Absorber-to-axle bolt through its bracket on the Shock Absorber before placing it inside the axle. Guiding the upper shock stud through the body opening requires lowering the vehicle enough before attaching the bolts loosely. Complete installation by torquing the lower Shock Absorber-to-axle bolt to 72 nm while torquing the upper Shock Absorber-to-body bolt to 50 nm.
