2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Wiper Motor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the windshield wiper motor on 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt?
A: Start the windshield wiper motor replacement by taking off the air inlet grille panel and the windshield wiper transmission. First unscrew the wiper motor crank arm nut and remove the wiper motor crank arm from the wiper motor position. After that detach the wiper motor screws to disconnect it from the wiper transmission assembly. Put the wiper motor onto the wiper transmission assembly then install wiper motor screws and fasten them to 8 Nm (71 lb in). You must install the new wiper motor in PARK mode as it ships ready to use. You must put the wiper motor back into the PARK position when energization begins. Insert the wiper motor crank at the 3:00 position and fasten both arm components while torquing the nut to 19.5 Nm. Put back the windshield wiper transmission piece along with the air inlet grille cover.
