A repair operation for the rear door check requires beginning by disconnecting the rear side access door trim panel. The process starts with removing the bolt which connects the body to the rear side access door check link. Then disconnect the check link nuts which secure it to the door. The installation process begins by taking out the rear side access door check link which should be removed from the door. Install the rear side door check link to the door by placing it with the alignment mark exposed towards the top. Fasten the rear side door check link to the door with nuts while torqueing them at 9 Nm (80 lb in). Fasten the body-retaining bolt of the rear side access check link while torquing it to 25 Nm (18.4 lb ft). Reinstall the rear side access door trim panel as the last step.
