How to replace the front side door check link on 2010 Chevrolet Colorado?

Begin by detaching the front door trim panel together with the front door water deflector when you want to replace the front side door check link. Detach the bolt holding the front door check link to the body structure before removing the check link nuts from the door. Remove the front door check link before taking it out from the door. Install the new front door check link to the door facing upward so the alignment mark can be properly visible. Attach the check link to the door using nuts which need to be tightened to 9 Nm (80 lb in) and then tighten the bolt to the body at 25 Nm (18.4 lb ft). The process ends by reinstalling the front door water deflector together with the front door trim panel.
