How to replace the upper rear side door striker on 2010 Chevrolet Colorado?

The process starts with opening the rear side access door followed by removing the rear side access upper door striker trim cover. First remove the bolts which affix the upper side access door striker to the body before removing the striker. When installing the upper side access door striker insert it onto the body while following fastener caution procedures. Install the bolts according to the striker through the measure sequence of 25 Nm (18 lb ft). The procedure ends with installation of the rear side access upper door striker trim cover before shutting the rear side access door.
