Door Check

The first procedure for replacing a rear side access door check includes removing its associated trim panel from the door. Start by disconnecting the bolt which keeps the rear side access door check proper to the body framework and then perform the same action with the check portal nuts that attach it to the door. Proceed to take out the rear side access door check from the door after these tasks. Before the installation of the new rear side door check, the fitment must begin with the door positioning where the alignment mark faces upward. Tighten the check nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb in) after installing them to the door. The bolt needs installation to fasten the rear side access check to the body while torqueing it up to 25 Nm (18.4 lb ft). Reinstall the rear side access door trim panel as the last step.

The process to replace the rear side Door Check starts with removing the rear door trim panel followed by taking out the rear inside Door Handle then uninstalling the rear door water deflector. First separate the bolt which maintains the rear Door Check to the body followed by loosening the nuts connecting the check to the door before extracting the check from its position on the door. Place the rear Door Check on the door while making sure the alignment mark points toward the top direction for installation. Introduce two nuts which will fasten the rear Door Check to the door at 9 n.m (80 lb in), then insert and tighten the bolt that joins the check to the body at 25 n.m (18.4 lb ft). After the task is complete you should replace the rear door water deflector followed by the rear door inside handle and then finally place on the rear door trim panel.

The replacement process of the rear side Door Check starts with the removal of rear door trim panel then proceeds to the removal of rear inside Door Handle followed by the removal of rear door water deflector. Detach the bolt that fastens the rear Door Check to the body before removing the nuts that keep the check attached to the door. Remove the rear Door Check from the door after carefully extracting it from its position. You should install the new rear Door Check to the door by facing the alignment mark upward during positioning. The new check should receive its nuts before tightening them to 9 nm (80 lb in) while the bolt to the body requires a torque of 25 nm (18.4 lb ft). Installation of rear door water deflector must be followed by rear inside handle replacement and then installation of rear door trim panel.

You should start the rear door limiter replacement by removing the rear side access door trim panel first. Disassemble the rear side access door check from the body structure by removing its securing bolt then move onto unfastening the bolts connecting it to the rear door. You should first remove the rear side access door trim panel then detach the door check from the body before taking the check away. Put the new rear side door check opposite the door with its alignment mark pointed up before securing it with appropriate nuts. Secure the rear side door check to the door using the installed nuts while tightening them to reach 9 N.m (80 lb in). Tighten the bolt which connects the rear side access check to the body until it reaches 25 N.m (18.4 lb ft). The last step requires installing the rear side access door trim panel.

Remove the rear side access door check link from the door.

Install the bolt that retains the check link to the body, tightening it to 25 N.m (18.4 lb ft).

Tighten it to 25 N.m (18.4 lb ft).

Position the new front door check link to the door, ensuring the alignment mark is facing upward.

Remove it from the door after taking out the necessary bolt and nuts.

Tighten the nuts to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

Install the nuts to secure the check link to the door, tightening them to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

Install the bolt to secure the front door check link to the body, tightening it to 25 N.m (18.4 lb ft).

Reinstall the front door water deflector and the front door trim panel.
