    A: To replace the Starter motor on the llv/ llr, with the 2.9l or 3.7l engine, you should remove the Intake Manifold first. Remove the Starter solenoid s terminal nut and lead and disconnect the Starter terminal nut and battery positive cable from the Starter. Next, remove the Starter motor mounting nut and bolt to remove the Starter motor from the engine. For installation, select the Starter motor and place it over the stud by being guided by the caution of the fasteners. Mount the Starter motor nuts and bolts with a torque of 50 nm (37 lb ft). Reconnect the battery positive cable back on the Starter, tighten the Starter terminal nut to 9 nm (80 lb in). Connect the lead to the Starter solenoid and install the Starter solenoid s terminal nut tightening it to 3.5 nm (31 lb in). Lastly, reinstall the Intake Manifold for the corresponding engine.
