How to replace the rear brake disc (J57) on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?

To remove the rear Brake Disc (J57), first lift and hold the vehicle safely, with disc Brake Disc protectors in place to reduce damage to the disc during the tire and wheel assembly removal process. Take the tire and the wheel assembly away and then disconnect the Brake Pad wear sensor electrical connector and take the brake caliper bolts away. Back the brake caliper with heavy mechanic wire to prevent the hydraulic flexible brake hose from being stressed. Brush off the disc or brake dust over the area using brake cleaner per the manufacturer's suggestion. You may also have to remove the brake caliper first and support it, then discard the Brake Disc retainers if there are any. If you are replacing the Brake Disc, it pays to matchmark the disc to the Wheel Hub before detaching the disc. Clean out any corrosion and debris from the Wheel Hub mating surface of the Brake Disc with your j-41013 (Disc Resurfacing Kit), and clean the friction surfaces with soap and water or denatured alcohol and allow them to air dry. Carefully brush out any loose material from the cross-drilled holes in the Brake Disc with a 5-mm (3/16-in) diameter tool, if required, and clean the disc mating surface of the Wheel Hub to a fit with the j-42450-a (Wheel Hub Resurfacing Kit). Mount the Brake Disc, lining it up with the matchmark on the Wheel Hub, then mount the brake caliper and bolt it with the brake caliper bolts torque set to 175 nm (129 lb ft). The Brake Pad wear sensor electrical connector can now be reconnected, tire and wheel assembly installed, and disc Brake Disc protectors removed. If a fresh disc is fitted, then burnish the brake pads and disc.
