    A: Start Brake Pedal replacement by lowering the Steering Column then setting it aside. Remove the electrical connectors from both Brake Pedal position sensor and clutch pedal position sensor. Untighten the Brake Pedal pushrod nut and detach the power brake booster pushrod from the Brake Pedal. After removing the Brake Pedal pushrod washer position the clutch pedal bracket nuts and vacuum brake booster nuts . Apply a flat tool to lift the clutch pedal pushrod off its stud before taking the Brake Pedal pushrod from its pivot point. Take out the upper Brake Pedal bracket bolt from the rh side first and then get rid of the 2 upper Brake Pedal bracket bolts from the lh side. Then you can remove the instrument panel tie bar. Last lower and take out the complete Brake Pedal and clutch pedal unit position the Brake Pedal and clutch pedal assembly onto the power brake booster studs and fit in the instrument panel tie bar. Secure the 2 lh upper Brake Pedal bracket bolts in a loose position and add the rh upper Brake Pedal bracket bolt as well as vacuum brake booster nuts. The brake and clutch pedal pushrod pins should each get a coat of high temperature grease gm p/n 12345996 (Canadian P/N 10953501). Push the clutch pushrod into the ball stud on the pedal and put on the Brake Pedal pushrod washer. Connect the Brake Pedal pushrod to its pivot pin. Use light force to connect the clutch pedal bracket nuts while tightening the vacuum brake booster nuts to 22 nm (16 lb ft), clutch pedal bracket nuts to 10 nm (89 lb in), upper Brake Pedal brackets to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Firmly fasten the Brake Pedal pushrod nut using a torque value of 10 nm (89 lb in). Attach both the Brake Pedal position sensor and clutch pedal position sensor electrical connectors to their respective positions. Then put back the Steering Column. You need to do both the learn operations of clutch pedal position sensor and calibrate the Brake Pedal position sensor for optimal results.
