2010 Chevrolet HHR Pressure Plate Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the clutch pressure plate and driven plate on 2010 Chevrolet HHR?
A: The clutch pressure and driven plate replacement must start with transmission removal. The Clutch Disc replacement starts by turning clutch cover bolts one turn at a time to reduce spring pressure before removing the cover and disc. First install the clutch element then the clutch cover beginning with hand-tightening washers to Flywheel bolts while maintaining alignment freedom. Support the clutch cover to the Flywheel assembly by using clutch alignment arbor (J 43482). The technician should torque each of the clutch cover to Flywheel bolts in their specified installation sequence to 30 nm (22 lb ft) then double-check torque values again in the same sequence. Put back the transmission once you remove the clutch alignment arbor (J 43482). After completing the necessary procedures, attach the negative terminal of the car battery.
