How to replace the engine coolant thermostat (L61/LE5) (2.2L/2.4L) on 2010 Chevrolet HHR?

Before replacing the engine coolant Thermostat (L61/LE5) (2.2L/2.4L), drain the cooling system. Then, adjust the radiator outlet hose clamp at the Thermostat Housing and take out the radiator outlet hose. After that, remove the Thermostat Housing cover bolts and the cover, then the Thermostat. Remove the Thermostat Housing o-ring seal. For installation, begin with installation of a new Thermostat Housing cover o-ring seal, and then install the Thermostat. Precaution needs to be taken in use of fasteners to avoid vehicle damage. Insert the Thermostat Housing cover bolts and torque them to 10 nm (89 lb in). Re-install the radiator outlet hose on the Thermostat Housing, and install the hose clamp. Finally, fill the cooling system.
