2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Blower Motor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace the blower motor on 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?
A: Start by removing the sound insulator panel if your vehicle uses it. Open the knitted insulation cover by unscrewing its fasteners. Free the electric connection from the motor before removing it. Disassemble the blower motor shield after completion. Push down the retention tab as you rotate the blower motor clockwise off its socket in the heating/ventilation unit and take out the blower motor. Turn the new blower motor into the heater/ventilation module by twisting it clockwise until the retaining ring engages. Secure the insulating cover on top of the blower motor when you attach its electrical connector properly according to safety procedures. After installing the blower motor insulating cover screws with 1.6 Nm of force (14 lb in) replace any available sound insulator panel.
