How to Replace the Door Striker on an Extended Cab for Upper on 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

One must remove the upper trim door upper striker cover by simply pulling it downward until retainer clips release. Begin by removing door upper striker bolts followed by removal of the spacer provided that exists. Detach the door upper striker as the next step in the process. Your first step for installation should be to position the door upper striker. Also mount the spacer if it has been equipped. Use the torque wrench to fasten the door upper striker bolt and adjust the lower bolt when the back plate on the striker has shifted by rotating the bolt until the holes align perfectly. Be careful with all fasteners to prevent vehicle damage when working on them. Finish by tightening each upper striker bolt to 24 Nm (18 lb ft) while replacing the upper trim door upper striker cover that should reestablish the retainer clips to their proper holes.
