How to replace the exhaust muffler on a Cab Chassis on 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

To replace exhaust Muffler on a cab chassis, first jack up and support the vehicle and remove the spare tire if necessary. And if the vehicle is equipped with a 8.6 or 9.5 inch ring gear remove the rear axle vent hose from the rear brake crossover pipe as well as the vent hose swivel clip. For 10.5 inch ring gear, the same steps on vent hose. Next, take out the rear Shock Absorber lower bolts and nuts, lower the rear axle if it is necessary, and then remove exhaust Muffler to exhaust manifold pipe nuts as well as loosen the exhaust Muffler clamp. If the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) is located, remove it and lubricate the 4 insulators where the Muffler assembly hangers will be inserted to make removal easier. With the help of another person, it is necessary to remove the insulators (1-4) from the Muffler assembly hangers and remove the Muffler assembly. For installation, oil up the insulators once again, slid down and install the Muffler assembly, replace insulators (1-4). Replace the ho2s and make sure you tighten the exhaust Muffler clamp to 47 nm (35 lb ft), and the exhaust Muffler to exhaust manifolds pipe nuts to 45 nm (33 lb ft). Lift the rear axle if it is necessary, reinstall the rear Shock Absorber lower bolts and nuts tightening them to 95 nm (70 lb ft). If you are using an 10.5 inch ring gear then connect the rear axle vent hose and the vent hose swivel clip to rear brake crossover pipe; in case they are 8.6 or 9.5 inch ring gear than do the same for rear axle vent hose. Last, but not least, take the adjustable jack stands off, reinstall the spare tire if necessary, and drop the vehicle.
