2010 Chevrolet Traverse Knock Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the knock sensor for Bank 2 on 2010 Chevrolet Traverse?
A: When changing the Knock Sensor for bank 2 we first cut off the negative Battery Cable. Next, take off the engine Oil Filter. De-energize the vehicle shutdown and disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Knock Sensor of bank 2. Now loosen the Knock Sensor bolt and take out the Knock Sensor. For installation, mount the new Knock Sensor and thread the bolt to 23 nm (17 lb ft). Fasten the engine wiring harness electrical connector using bank 2 Knock Sensor. Lift up and properly support the car, then fit a new engine Oil Filter. Then reconnect negative cable of the battery.
