The first step to replace the discharge hose consists of refrigerant recovery using halogen leak detector (J 39400-A). Starting the replacement process requires front fascia removal as well as the removal of the front bumper upper fascia support. Disconnect the a/c pressure switch electrical connector before removing the discharge line bolt from the A/C Compressor and separating the discharge line from the compressor . Begin the discharge line to condenser replacement by detaching bolt 1 then disconnecting the discharge line from the condenser before proceeding to remove the discharge line itself. The technician should remove the discharge line o-rings before discarding them. The first step for installation requires o-rings installed on the discharge line before a/c pressure switch installation. Begin by linking the condenser to the discharge line and mount the discharge line to condenser bolt before torquing it at 9 nm (80 lb in). Use the A/C Compressor as the next connection point for the discharge line and install the discharge line bolt on the A/C Compressor while tightening it to 9 nm (80 lb in). Put back the front bumper upper fascia support along with the front fascia. After evacuation recharge the refrigeration system and complete leak tests on fittings by using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
