The first step for replacing the discharge hose requires refrigerant recovery. The first step requires removal of the front facia as well as the front bumper upper fascia support. The first step is to disconnect the a/c pressure switch electrical connector then free the discharge line bolt from the A/C Compressor to finally detach the discharge line from the compressor. You must disconnect the condenser then the discharge line to condenser bolt before extracting the discharge line itself. The a/c pressure switch must be removed from the system along with disposal of the discharge line o-rings. The process of installation requires installing fresh o-rings on the a/c pressure switch as well as the discharge line. You need to join the discharge line to the condenser before installing the discharge line to condenser bolt where you should impose a tightening torque of 9 nm (80 lb in). The discharge line should be mounted onto the A/C Compressor followed by a 9 nm (80 lb in) tightening of the discharge line bolt. The front bumper upper fascia support service and front facia service must be performed. Perform a final evacuation of the refrigerant system while conducting a leak test on component fittings through use of halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
