How to replace the fuel filler hose on 2010 GMC Canyon?

The first step to replace the Fuel Tank filler hose begins by draining part of the Fuel Tank contents below its fuel fill hose level. A sufficient lift and support system allows access to the fuel fill hose through the wheelhouse liner before the left pickup box wheelhouse liner can be removed. The procedure demands removal of the fuel fill hose ground strap bolt along with the ground strap from the frame structure. The first step includes unfastening the fuel fill hose clamp which is at the Fuel Tank while disconnecting the evap line quick connect fitting from the fill tube vent line. First detach the fuel fill hose from the Fuel Tank followed by removing its screws then extracting the hose from the vehicle. Loss of contamination will be prevented by capping the Fuel Tank opening. Placing the fuel fill hose at the fender opens the tank flap before you install its screws at 2 nm (18 lb in) torque. Lay the fuel fill hose onto the Fuel Tank before attaching it and following with the fill tube vent line after connecting the Fuel Tank evap line quick connect fitting. The fuel fill hose must be clamped tightly on the Fuel Tank with a torque of 2.5 nm (22 lb in). Reinstall the ground strap on the frame after inserting its anti-rotation tab into the frame hole then tighten the fuel fill hose ground strap bolt to 9 nm (80 lb in). Lower the vehicle then reinstall the left pickup box wheelhouse liner while filling the Fuel Tank before installing the fuel fill cap.
