Before starting the procedure it is necessary to raise the vehicle. You should remove the Transfer Case from its position between the adapter. The j 36825 (Output Shaft Oil Seal Remover) should be combined with j 23907 (Slide Hammer) for input shaft seal removal through the process of puncturing it with a tiny punch followed by inserting j 36825 into the hole. The new input shaft seal must be installed so its part numbers will be visible to the technician from the outside. You should place the seal onto the input shaft before using the j 45758 (Seal Installer) to place the input shaft seal inside the Transfer Case. The vehicle requires the Transfer Case to be reinstalled onto the adapter before lowering it to its resting position.
