How to replace the rear side door upper and lower door hinge on 2011 Cadillac CTS?

The first step to replace both rear side door upper and lower hinges includes removing the check link bolt from the vehicle body while changing only one hinge before starting the second replacement. Support the door while marking the body where the hinge will be attached before opening both the front and rear doors. Then detach both hinge to body bolts and the hinge to door bolts from their positions. Reinstall the pillar side of the hinge directly on the marks that were previously noted during removal then attach the hinge to the pillar section. Securely fasten the hinge to pillar bolts at 33 nm (24 lb ft) torque strength. Position the hinge to the door opening then insert bolts that will be tightened to 33 nm (24 lb ft). Install the check link bolt to the body after removing the door support and tighten it to 22 nm (16 lb ft).
