You must detach the check link bolt from the body before changing the rear side door upper hinge and lower hinge. Working on a single hinge at a time with a potential additional replacement of the second hinge is required before continuing. Open the rear doors next to the front doors before supporting the door and making body position marks on the hinge location. Establish a workflow by removing both hinge to body bolts as well as hinge to door bolts. When installing the hinge position the pillar side of the hinge with the marks that were previously marked and install the hinge to the pillar. When installing the hinge to pillar bolts use torque to 33 nm (24 lb ft). Position the hinge on the door then fasten the bolts before securing the hinge to door bolts at 33 nm (24 lb ft). Bring out the door support while installing the check link bolt to the body and secure it at 22 nm (16 lb ft). Thorough Door Striker alignment must be maintained to let door latches function properly while all adjustments should abstain from using the striker to prevent damage to the door latch and striker. Apply body color paint to any areas of damaged paint on the hinge and bolts before performing the final adjustment of the door.
