How to replace the front side Door Striker on a Sedan/Wagon on 2010 Cadillac CTS?

Begin the replacement of the Sedan/Wagon front side door lock striker only when the ignition is OFF and the key is out to stop SIR deployment and avoid injury to personnel. Locate and mark the striker using a grease pencil and follow by removing its bolts and the striker and then the striker plastic trim. First insert the striker plastic trim into its original place before installing the striker loosely through its bolts keeping them parallel to the marked alignment points. Check the door closing before tightening the bolts while making adjustments to the striker. The fastener caution must be followed during this step while tightening the striker bolts at 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
