How to replace the front door striker on Cadillac CTS?

The first step to changing a front door striker includes noting where it will go before taking out the striker screws. First remove the door striker screws and pull out the striker from its position. Secure the striker by positioning it on the lock pillar with the narrow side exposed to the outside then fasten the striker screws into place. Adjust the door striker according to the provided lock striker adjustment specifications. The places to fasten or discard the fasteners come with their own safety warnings and notices. Close the striker screws to 27.5 Nm (20 lb ft) torque.
