How to replace the front side door hinge on Cadillac CTS?

You must remove front wheelhouse liner before starting replacement of the front side Door Hinge. The procedure demands to replace each hinge individually before performing the same steps when replacing the second hinge. The next step requires removal of push-in fasteners securing the fender sound insulator to the front fender and after that removing the fender sound insulator. Notate where the hinge will be located on the body before using support to hold the door steady. Extract the hinge bolts that exist both on the body and door. During installation position the hinge according to the body marks that were created during dismantling. Mount the hinge to body bolts first then secure them to 25 n.m (18 lb ft) followed by hinge to door bolts that should be tightened to the same torque specification.
