How to replace the front side door hinge on 2004 Cadillac CTS?

The process to install a new front side Door Hinge begins with removing the push-in fasteners on the fender sound insulator from the front fender followed by taking out the sound insulator. Mainly position the hinge mark on both the body and support the door. Proceed to take off the hinge bolts from both the body and the door. Place the hinge on the body marks from removal and secure it with body bolts which should be tightened to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Service the hinge to door bolts by fastening them to 25 nm (18 lb ft). The fender sound insulator should be reinstalled when the door support is taken away. Failure to maintain correct striker alignment during door latch operation leads to potential damage of the door latch and striker. Therefore avoid adjusting door position by using the striker. End the process by adjusting the door position and fixing any paint harm on hinge and bolt areas by applying body color paint.
