The servicing process for the rear side door check link starts with the removal of the door trim panel. You can reach the check link by moving away the forward section of the water deflector from the door panel. Begin by removing check link bolts from the hinge pillar then taking out check link bolts from the door before extracting the check link from the door. Follow the fastener notice when placing the check link into the door for installation. Fasten the check link to door nuts following an installation torque of 9 Nm (80 lb in). Connect the check link arm to the center pillar bolt before tightening it to 9 Nm (80 lb in). Finish by putting back the water deflector followed by the door trim panel.
