How to replace the rear side Door Latch Assembly on 2004 Cadillac CTS?

The replacement of the rear side door latch requires removal of the door panel and door module along with inside Door Handle before proceeding. Begin by extracting the water deflector before disconnecting the outside rod from the door latch by opening its clip. Pass the inside lock rod grommet through the space while the inside handle rod gets disconnected from the rod guide. Unscrew the door latch screws before removing the door lock while keeping the inside Door Handle rod and lock rod on it. The electrical connection should be disconnected while the door latch gets its handle rod and lock rod removed. To install the door latch begin by attaching the inside Door Handle rod and lock rod to the door latch afterward connect the electrical connector and finally install the door latch into the door while securing the screws at 10 nm (89 lb in). To link the outside Door Handle rod with the door latch use the rod by putting it into the clip then secure it. Begin by testing the outside Door Handle before inserting the inside handle rod to the rod guide and then placing the water deflector and inside Door Handle and door module before installing the door trim panel.
