Begin replacement of the rear door latch by first taking off the door trim panel then moving to the door module and inside Door Handle. The first step will involve removing the water deflector before disconnecting the outside Door Handle rod from the door latch through the clip opening process. Push the inside lock rod grommet through its opening after removing it from the rod guide and the inside handle rod. First disconnect the door latch screws before extracting the door latch unit that features both the inside Door Handle rod and lock rod still connected. The electrical connector must be detached before you can remove the handle rod along with the lock rod from the door latch. When installing this component users need to link the inside Door Handle rod and lock rod to the door latch before plugging the electrical connector and installing the door latch into its wooden frame while securing all door latch screws at 10 nm tension (89 lb in). Hook the outside Door Handle rod to the door latch through the clip before closing the rod into place. First operate the outside Door Handle correctly then proceed to mount the inside handle rod to the rod guide while installing the water deflector and inside Door Handle before placing on the door module and door trim panel.
