How to replace the lower control arm bushings on Buick LaCrosse?

You must first remove the lower Control Arm to install the replacement bushings then secure it in a vise. A 1/2 x 20 inch standard thread nut from the puller bolt setup. The bushing removal tools require assembly of a nut along with j 21474-01 washer and j 21474-01 bearing along with j 21474-5 while the assembly includes the j 21474-01 puller bolt. The puller bolt receives tightening pressure until the bushing extraction occurs before disassembly of the j 21474-01 and j 21474-5. Apply liquid hand soap or an equivalent lubricant to the bushing before installation then install a 1/2 x 20 in standard thread nut onto the puller bolt. The bushing installation will require a set of equipment including a nut, j 21474-01 washer, j 21474-01 bearing, j 21474-5, and j 21474-01 puller bolt. Use the puller bolt to tighten down until the bushing enters the Control Arm. Subsequently use j 21474-01 and j 21474-5 to detach them from the Control Arm and remove it from the vice to place the lower Control Arm.
