The replacement process for
Fuel Injector and Fuel Rail begins with decreasing fuel system pressure using ch 48027 or without using it according to application requirements. The first step requires removing the upper
Intake Manifold. First detach the retaining clip which holds the fuel pipe and then disconnect the fuel feed pipe from the Fuel Injector rail. Compressed air should be directed through the Intake Manifold opening to eliminate any remaining debris in that area. Before removing the Fuel Rail bolts you must protect the injector electrical connector terminals and spray tips then support the Fuel Rail during the extraction process. Adequately cap all fittings together with plugging the holes will prevent contamination. The procedure requires you to take out the Fuel Rail carrying fuel injectors before disconnecting their electrical connectors and unclipping the electrical connector lock. You should discard the seals along with removing the Fuel Injector retainer clip and the Fuel Injector. The installation process should include retention of fresh Fuel Injector seals before fitting the Fuel Injector while fastening it with the retainer clip. Connect the electrical connector of the Fuel Injector while activating the lock mechanism. Fasten the Fuel Rail with installed fuel injectors while tightening each Fuel Rail bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in). After installing the retaining clip to the fuel pipe first you can connect it to the Fuel Rail for the final step of upper Intake Manifold reinstallation.
