One of the important parts used in the Buick Rainier vehicle is the Fan Shroud or simply known as Fanico that greatly enhances the cooling system of the Buick Rainier vehicle. As can be inserted to cover the blades of the fan, the Fan Shroud enhances the flow of the air to help maintain the temperature of the engine favourable for the engine to perform and for the Buick Rainier to have a longer lifespan. This reliability is especially beneficial for one model year, 2005 through 2007, of the different versions of the Rainier because it still contains the strong drive train that people expect from a Buick. Bucket not only as a shield to protect the fan but also as one of the components of vehicle safety to avoid overheating that can damage the engine. As the Fan Shroud is compatible with different Rainier trims- CXL and CXL Plus, in the automotive market it is a standout due to its material and manufacturer quality as well as obsession with the performance. Furthermore, this part known as the Fan Shroud also attributes to the vehicles' quietness and comfortable ride that Buick strives to capture. These features are evident in this Fan Shroud to ensure Buick Rainier remains dependable for any driver that desires premier performance and safety with the mid-size luxury SUV.

Buick Rainier Fan Shroud Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the cooling fan and fan shroud on Buick Rainier?
    A:
Draining the cooling system enables the replacement process for cooling fan and shroud which starts by removing the air cleaner assembly and air resonator assembly and inlet Radiator Hose. You must first disconnect two transmission oil cooler lines which are attached to the Fan Shroud followed by taking off the Fan Clutch electrical connector. Use the Fan Clutch remover and installer (J 46406) to remove Fan Clutch parts from the Water Pump which needs to be followed by unscrewing upper Fan Shroud mounting bolts. Clear the radiator liquid entry point by pushing the Fan Shroud inward before you take out the fan unit with the shroud. The first step of installation involves fitting the fan unit with mounting bolts secured to the upper Fan Shroud until they reach 28 nm (21 ft.lbs.). You must use the Fan Clutch remover (J 46406) to position the Fan Clutch onto the Water Pump before your connection of electrical wires to the Fan Clutch takes place along with reinstalling transmission oil cooler lines for the Fan Shroud. Installation of the inlet Radiator Hose and air resonator assembly will be completed last before performing the cool system fill procedure.
