Q: How to remove and install the GPS antenna on Buick Regal?
A:
Start by taking off the rear shelf trim panel before removing the GPS antenna. A small wide-bladed plastic tool will separate the GPS antenna from its position on the rear shelf after removing the adhesive followed by unconnecting the GPS antenna cable connector. Clean off all residue from the rear shelf with a razor blade along with an isopropyl alcohol pad and a clean lint-free cloth. The GPS antenna mounting spot on the rear shelf needs treatment with an isopropyl alcohol pad while using a clean lint-free cloth before installation. Avoid touching the adhesive backing during this step. Take the GPS antenna's protective backing off its adhesive layer before placing it onto the rear shelf surface while pressing for thirty seconds. Reattach the GPS antenna cable connector while returning the rear shelf trim panel back into place.
Q: How to replace the fixed antenna mast on Buick Regal?
A:
To dismantle the fixed Antenna mast, first use a tool with the tape on its surface to avoid damaging the paint while unscrewing the Antenna mast. Next, make sure that you remove the Antenna mast from the Antenna Base. For installation, place ante nna mast on ante nna base with tape on the tool's surface to protect the paint. Ensure that the Antenna mast is firmly attached (screwed in) to the Antenna Base being sure to secure it (tighten up to 5 N.m or 44 lb in) specifically as outlined in the fastener notice.
