  Q: How to service and repair the valve guide seal, replace the valve stem oil seal, and valve spring on Buick Terraza?

  A: Be sure the Piston is at tdc in the working cylinder before working on the Valve Stem Oil Seal, Valve Stem Oil Seal, and valve spring, to prevent the valve from dropping into the cylinder. Turn the Spark Plug partially and remove any debris from the Spark Plug recess before you remove it. Next, remove the Rocker Arm and put the j 22794 Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) into the Spark Plug port, keeping the valves with j 38606 valve spring compressor (J 38606) attached, squeeze the valve spring so the valve locks can be removed, and take off the valve cap and take a close look at the valve spring and after, take out the Valve Stem Oil Seal. Begin by putting the new Valve Stem Oil Seal in place, then the valve spring and the valve cap. Use the j 38606 tool again to compress the valve spring, insert the valve locks using a little bit of grease, then release the spring. After the valve locks are properly set, let the air out and take the j 22794 out of the Spark Plug port. At the end, put the Rocker Arm in place and screw in the Spark Plug.
