You must disconnect the electrical plug and unscrew the fasteners first to access the back up lamp assembly. First take out the bulb parts and then the bulb housing unit. First put the bulb in the bulb socket and next install the bulb assembly into the back up lamp assembly. Push the wire harness inside the body and place the grommet before fixing the back up lamp to the rear compartment lid using fasteners that you tighten to 4.5 n.m (40 lb in). Place the rear compartment lid trim back and plug in the electrical connector.

Lastly, put the liftgate applique back on the liftgate and close the gate.
