How to replace the turn signal flasher on Cadillac Catera?

Unbolt the self-locking screws from the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber and move the absorber upwards to locate its tabs. After you release the absorber from the tabs you can take it away. Unplug the turn signal/warning lamp flasher from its position at the convenience center. Put the new turn signal/warning lamp flasher inside the convenience center and lower the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber onto its tabs to secure it. Secure the energy absorber with self-locking screws by tightening them to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
