  Disconnect the battery so you can replace the Body Control Module (BCM). Start by switching the Ignition Switch to off and following battery disconnect protocols. Take out the pillar piece above the center of the car plus passenger seat track trim, carpet retainer, and right hinge pillar trim's last panel. Carefully disconnect the retainer from the bcm sides and push the bcm through its installation slots. Disconnect the bcm starting with the antenna wire at its mounting slot and proceed to remove the connectors (2 and 3) from the bcm itself. To put it back in place first plug the harness connectors (2 and 3) to the bcm and insert the antenna wire into the mount slot. Put the near end of bcm gently into its guides before making sure the retainer clips secure on bcm side edges. Place back the pieces of the auto in this order: right hinge-pillar cover, floor carpet holder, seat track cover, and inner panel of the lower center pillar. Fasten the negative Battery Cable back into place. Then use the scan tool to choose setup new Body Control Module under special functions. Follow all screen instructions during the process.

  Always turn off the ignition before starting to unplug the bcm power source. Disconnect the vehicle's negative Battery Cable using proper battery safety measures. Unplug the upper center pillar trim and passenger seat track trim plus carpet retainer along with right hinge pillar trim finish panel. Use care to pry away the retainer from the bcm then push the bcm out of its guide slots. Pull out the antenna wire from its mount and take out the bcm from its starting position by disconnecting both plug connections (2 and 3) to the bcm. Route the antenna wire into the mount disk slot first then connect harness connectors (2 and 3) to bcm before setting the unit in its mount location. Push the bcm near end into its guide position with proper seating and place the cover retainer properly onto the bcm edge. Put back the right hinge pillar trim plus carpet retainer while also setting the passenger seat track trim and lower center pillar trim. Rejoin the Battery Cable then use the tool to choose setup new Body Control Module from the menu. Complete each of the on-screen directions accordingly.
